Marking our hero Harold Lloyd’s 4/20 birthday once again, Silent Movie Day is excited to announce today that we are now signing up Silent Movie Day events taking place on and around 9/29/26!

What is Silent Movie Day? 

It’s simply a day to celebrate silent film around the world, and also to raise awareness about the importance of film preservation. Past events have included screenings with live music, book launches, historical marker unveilings, dvd releases, virtual lectures, home viewing parties, tv broadcasts, and more. 

Silent Movie Day continues to grow, and 2025 was our biggest year ever with over 120 events, including over 20 international locations. You can see them all HERE.
