1928 classic starring comedian extraordinaire, Buster Keaton. Buster plays a college graduate trying to gain the respect of his father, a roughneck riverboat captain, as well as the love of Kitty, pretty daughter of his father’s business rival. This film contains one of cinema’s most famous (and dangerous) stunts as Buster narrowly avoids being crushed by a tumbling house façade.

Along with our feature film, we will be showing a rare recently restored Thanhauser Studio short film: TOODLES, TOM & TROUBLE (1915)

Both films will be accompanied live by organist Jonas Nordwall, performing his original score on the Hollywood’s Mighty Wurlitzer pipe organ.

SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 @ 11:00am (Pacific) September 29th is the first NATIONAL SILENT MOVIE DAY! The Bijou Theatre of Lincoln City is jumping in and celebrating by presenting the 1923 classic THE HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE DAME staring Lon Chaney.

Wednesday morning at 11:00am Mack Pimentel, of Pacific City, will be providing the musical (and other) soundtrack on the Bijou's Might Allen Organ. Mack has played-in the crowds at the Bijou's Monday and occasional Friday 2:00 shows for the last 15 years.

$2 minimum donation goes to the regeneration and enhancement of the Allen Organ.

This is reminiscent of when the Bijou did the WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON THEATRE ORGAN CLUB in the late 1990's. Which was a monthly silent movie with organ accompaniment and a periodic guest player.
